Safety

We take our legal and moral responsibilities for the health and safety of our employees, supply chain and customers very seriously. In fact, health and safety is our highest priority, underpinning all our processes.

We also value our environment and are committed to its conservation through effective and responsible energy management systems. Our manufacturing and business quality processes ensure we can deliver smarter, cleaner, warmer products reliably, safely and efficiently.

Safety

Heatrae Sadia Heating recognises the moral and legal responsibility to protect employees and third parties affected by its operations, and to operate its business efficiently by endeavouring to prevent accidents and incidents to people and property and to generally promote the well-being of its employees.

The company aims to achieve the highest standards of Health and Safety in order to minimise risks to employees and the public insofar as they come into contact with its products and services. As a minimum, the company will comply with Health, Safety and Fire legislation and to attain this with the co-operation of its entire staff.

Continual improvement in the area of Health and Safety is supported by the measurement of performance by internal and external Health and Safety auditing and reporting. Additionally, management will periodically review this policy and will do so especially in the event of any major organisational changes, new legislation or serious incidents.

Objectives

  • To establish and communicate business related objectives and risks with relevant functions and levels within the company and to continually seek opportunities for improvement.
  • To promote a culture and environment that is conducive in delivering Customer delight.
  • To ensure that the requirements of all products are fully defined and visible to the appropriate Stakeholders and that they meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our Customers. 
  • To involve all relevant personnel in identifying the skills and competence they require, and to utilise formal training systems for the achievement and progression of objectives..

As part of the Company's environmental strategy, Heatrae Sadia Heating is committed to responsible energy management and continual improvement in its energy performance. It will aim to establish and adopt cost-effective, environmentally-responsible practices for energy use throughout its operation, premises, plant and equipment.

Strategy

Heatrae Sadia will manage its energy consumption by:

  • Monitoring the energy usage and make the information available to all employees.
  • Promoting energy awareness in all its staff. 
  • Conducting regular reviews of objectives and targets and identify opportunities to reduce usage.
  • Implementing energy-efficient alternatives where it is cost effective to do so.
  • Providing resource necessary to achieve its objectives and targets
  • Support the purchase of energy efficient products and services
  • Comply with all applicable legal and other requirements
  • Reduce where possible the use and consumption of fossil fuels
  • Investigate the use of renewable technologies
  • Design and product market leading energy efficiency products

Objectives

The company's objectives are to:

  • Improve the efficiency in the use of Electricity
  • Improve the efficiency in the use of Natural gas
  • Reduce the overall CO2 emissions

The Heatrae Sadia Quality Management System, which includes this Policy, provides the framework through which a formal and continuing programme of review is adopted and fully supported so that products, services and the effectiveness of systems, policies, objectives and targets may be continually measured and improved as far as possible.

Heatrae Sadia defines quality as conformance to our key Stakeholder's needs, both internally and externally, and as conformance to all defined quality system requirements. Consequently, we recognise the value of our customers and the impact of our activities upon them.

Our goal is to operate an effective Environmental Management System that identifies risk and opportunities to make the most effective use of resources to ensure that our activities, products and associated services minimise any negative or potentially negative impact on the environment.  

We value our reputation as an environmentally conscious and responsible business are actively engaging our people and key stakeholders to ensure they comply with our policies and procedures design to support this.

By applying and adhering to these principles, we will behave in an environmentally conscious way, seeking opportunities to reduce the negative impact of our activities on the world in which we live.

Heatrae Sadia is committed to ensuring its ability to plan for and respond to incidents and business disruptions in order to continue business operations at an acceptable predefined level.  We have identified threats to our organisation and the potential impacts those threats may cause to our operations.

Objectives

  • To prioritise the immediate safety of our employees.
  • To mitigate the risks to business continuity.
  • To preserve the firm's property and the property of our customers and;
  • To enable as quick a recovery as possible in order to meet the business needs of our customers.

We have developed effective responses to potential incidents and disruptions which cannot be entirely eliminated, which safeguard the interest of our stakeholders, reputation, brand and value-creating activities.  We have considered all necessary legal and regulatory requirements and have implemented processes to maintain compliance and the continuity of our operations.

We are committed to ensuring that we are well prepared to meet customer needs and resume regular business operations in a timely manner in the event of a significant business disruption to ensure business objectives are met.

To help us achieve our aim, we have created a business continuity management system which satisfies the requirements of ISO 22301.

The directors and senior management of Heatrae Sadia are committed to this process and to the continual improvement of our overall business resilience.  A steering group exists to drive the strategies and coordinate the activities and plans in order to achieve the objectives of this policy.

The plans supporting Business Continuity will be regularly reviewed and revised where required.
