Roll up, Roll up for the Heatrae Sadia Circus!

The circus is coming to Horning, Norfolk, on 19 August as part of fundraising activities led by local manufacturer, Heatrae Sadia.

The Norwich-based business has organised the circus to support both The Alzheimer’s Society and a range of local causes. This year also marks the 250th anniversary of the first ever UK circus, which was founded by Phillip Astley in 1768, adding extra relevance to the choice of fundraiser.

Attendees will be dazzled by Happy’s Circus, with performances from acrobats, aerialists, magic speciality acts, and more included in the fun, with the show running from 2-4pm. The circus also includes performances from Norfolk’s own Vikki Clarke, who will be amazing audiences with her aerial hoop Spanish Webb expertise.

Nathan Turner, senior management accountant at Heatrae Sadia, has been central to planning the event, and commented: “Giving back to the community is extremely important to Heatrae Sadia, and every year we work hard to raise funds for our chosen charities.

“This time, we wanted to do something a little bit different, and that’s how we hit upon the idea of the circus. Horning Parish Council have very generously given us the pitching ground free of charge, and Happy’s Circus are performing at a discounted rate, so we’re hopeful that this event will raise a substantial amount for The Alzheimer’s Society and various local causes.

“Tickets are available now, and we are extremely excited to see all of our planning come to fruition. It’s bound to be a great event, and we hope to see as many people as possible there!”
